(Because itβs Christmas Eve and I missed a few days)

7οΈβ£ The Movies
Do I like the classics or the new stuff? Yes.
Do I like Hallmark movies? Absolutely not. Those are trash.
Give me Itβs a Wonderful Life, White Christmas, Holiday Inn, Miracle on 34th Street, A Christmas Story, Elf, every version of The Grinch, Home Alone, The Santa Clause moviesβ¦
β¦and of course the undisputed cinematic masterpiece: Santa Claus Conquers the Martians.
8οΈβ£ The Church Service
Itβs the pause button.
The moment that reminds me all the other fluffβeven the good fluffβexists because something world-changing happened.
Also, many people who claim to follow Jesus might want to re-read what He actually said. Just saying.
9οΈβ£ Christmas Eve
As a kid, it meant familyβsitting on my uncleβs lap while he dressed up as Santa.
As an adult, it still means family⦠it just looks different.
Now I get to watch my kids, nieces, and nephews (neflots?) play, sing carols, open gifts, and experience that same magicβjust from the other side of the room.
π Christmas Day
Watching kids open gifts never gets old.
Morning at home, then over to my parentsβ for brunch, gifts (they always do way too much), a late lunch, a lazy afternoon, and evening visits with extended family.
Itβs a full dayβand a good tired.
1οΈβ£1οΈβ£ A Wonderful Life
Christmas forces me to slow down and take inventory.
I take a lot for granted during the year, but this season reminds meβdespite the chaosβto notice the blessings, the people, and the moments that actually matter.
1οΈβ£2οΈβ£ Onwards to the New Year
Christmas gives me space to reset.
To think about what made the year good, what couldβve been better, and what I want to carry forward.
Itβs not about resolutionsβitβs about refocusing.
π Sappy Ending
Christmas is messy, loud, exhausting, joyful, sacred, ridiculous, and meaningfulβall at once.
And somehow, every year, it still works.
Merry Christmas. π
