Bio

My name, as I would hope you would guess from the name of the site, is Joshua Manning. I was born, raised, and currently live in Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana.

I work as a Transportation Planner for the South Central Planning and Development Commission. My main job duties are the day-to-day responsibilities of the Metropolitan Planning Organization, which include putting together the UPWP and TIP documents, keeping the website up-to-date, facilitating committee meetings (Technical Advisory and Pedestrian/Bike Committee), maintenance of the Travel Demand Model, oversight of the traffic counting program, and GIS mapping. I have also worked on the development of Redistricting Plans for several parish (county) councils, school boards and cities.

I am a 2005 graduate of Nicholls State University where I recieved a Bachelor's of Arts in English, and am currently enrolled at the University of New Orleans pursuing a Master's in Urban and Regional Planning with a concentration in transportation planning. I expect to graduate from UNO in May 2016

As far as family goes, I've been married since 2008 to Molly D'Avy Manning. We have four children, Levi Gene, Chris Davy, Max Clayton, and Jack Richard.

"Extra-cirricular activities" include being a member of First Assembly of God in Thibodaux, where I am secretary-treasurer of the board. I also enjoy, as I am able, writing short stories (haven't been able to focus on this in years), creating video clips, and throwing together sloppy photoshop pictures.

I love reading and watching Science Fiction.
